Vintage Glazed Stoneware Handcrafted Pair of Artist Signed Pottery Coffee Mugs

Description: These unique vintage coffee mugs are true works of art. This pair of mugs feature a beautiful vertical striped hombre color pattern with a very thick, glossy glaze and finger strap handles big enough for 2-3 fingers to fit in. Vertical stripes are much more uncommon than horizontal. During my research, I may have seen one vertical out of 20-30 horizontal. Judging from the weight of the mugs, they are American-made. The unglazed bottoms clearly show the color of the clay used for production as being a beige, sandy clay like that used by Rosemeade, Dryden and Monmouth to name a few notable companies. They are hand-signed by the artist T Childs in script/cursive with more writing below -- either the initials TB or a T with a number, I can't tell. The mugs are a vintage original production style of art pottery. I believe them to be hand thrown. The blue/green one is very smooth on the inside whereas the brown shows the rings. Both mugs are 3 1/2 inches tall. The green/blue one is 4 inches across at the top and narrows to 2 inches at the bottom. The brown one is 3 1/2 inches at the top narrowing down to 3 inches at the bottom. ******************************************************************************* -I will leave buyers positive feedback after tracking shows the item as delivered as long as payment was received promptly.-My items are mainly sourced from local auctions or estate sales and up-scale true auction sites. Some items I know a lot about; some I know little. However, I spend a lot of time researching every item in order to determine fair value. I'm not a power seller and never will be so you'll rarely see my auctions start price for $.99 as I want to at least break even. - I do NOT accept returns or exchanges unless I fail to declare a Major flaw in the description. -All items are shipped USPS ground transportation with an option of USPS priority mail but I've found the delivery-time difference to be negligible. - If your item purchase price is more than $50, consider requesting additional transit insurance. - If an item is damaged in shipping you agree to keep the item, box and packing materials until the claim is processed and to take any necessary pictures to file with the carrier. - I take great care in packaging items correctly and shipping on time, usually earlier than my stated policy of 3 working days. Unfortunately, I can do nothing about postal delays or anything that occurs to the item during delivery or after. I make this statement because I recently received negative feedback from a buyer because the item was stolen from the given ship-to address after delivery. Please look at my feedback scores and read it for yourself! You will see nothing but positive feedback besides that. 100% positive feedback drops far below standard with only 1 negative rating, whether it is deserved or not. -I STRONGLY believe in reusing and repurposing not only saleable items but also mailing materials; thus, your item maybe packed in a previously used box and/or wrapped with previously used materials. Pass these along or recycle them yourself if you can please. All that being said, please look at all my other items. I will gladly combine shipping when feasible if multiple items are purchased so you can save on shipping cost (not cheap!). If you are bidding on auctions that end at different times and want combined shipping, please send me a message letting me know to hold your items until all the auctions you are bidding on have ended.
