Description: VINTAGE FS SYSTEM FARM SERVICE PETROLEUM FEED RAIN GAUGE RECORDER MUSCATINE IA This auction is for an incredible original Advertising Rain Gauge Recorder. This is an original gauge advertising FS from S/M Service Co. Muscatine, Iowa. It lsists the names of the people to contact for Petroleum, Feed and Crop Sales. I believe that it from the 1960s or early 1970s and is in good shape for its age. It came out of a long time advanced collector's very high end collection. It is made of metal and has a glass tube. It measures roughly 4 1/2" x 4 1/2". They are only original, once! The advertising sign is in as found condition. I have not even wiped it off since acquiring it. It does have some light marks as to be expected form a sign this old (please see photos). It does have some light surface rust as shown in the photos. I will leave cleaning and polishing to the new owner if they desire to do so. I would leave it as is. Still, it makes an impressive display piece. Incredibly RARE SIGN. STILL LOOKS GREAT ON DISPLAY.
