Description: Vintage Could Be Antique Forbes Silver Co Silverplate Double Castor Set with Spoon 2 Glass Inserts Frame Measures: 9 1/2" tall, 8" long, 4 1/2" wide. It is marked "Forbes Silver Co. Warranted 047". A little bit of info on Forbes Silver CO. Forbes was founded in 1894 as a division of the Meriden Britannia Co. of Meriden, CT, They closed their door in 1935. Holes for inserts measure: 2 1/4" round. Frame sits flat on a surface, no wobble. Legs are intact and strong. Handle is intact, strong and shows no repairs. Where the handle holds a spoon it is strong and shows no repairs. Silver looks very good in my opinion. Inserts are 4" tall and have no chips, no cracks, no flea bites. They have a hue of color to them. Some would say a light pink that is closer to a peachy color. Very light hue. Spoon is 5 1/2" long and is marked S.E.B. Hammered E.P.N.S.
