Description: Large Israeli Figural Chess Set, Hand Carved Olive Wood, 32 Pieces, Nazareth, early 20th Century, circa 1930s-1940s (set shown in The Illustrated Guide to World Chess Sets (1985) by Victor Keats pages 194-197). Include large 32 piece only; no box, no board; light versus dark. The largest pieces measure 5-1/2" tall; all pawns are missing their spears.
