David as "The Original Family Crown Pin" with a gift card reading, "The story of Mother's life beautifully told, with each child's simulated birthstone as a jewel in her crown." Accordingly, the brooches were produced with many combinations of faux gemstones.The faux gemstones and the aurora borealis "jewels" are pear-cut rhinestones, separated by faux pearls. Rows of aurora borealis baguettes and chatons form the base of the crown.Measures approx. 2 inches wide and 1 3/8 inches high. This pin was produced beginning in the late 1960s and for many years onward. This pin cannot be dated precisely, estimate is c1970s-'80s.The pin is in like new condition with the box only showing some discoloration from age.
