Description: For Your Purchasing Consideration: An Extremely Rare European .800% Silver Landscape Round Medallion Mounted into a vintage glass and wood frame. Appears nicely with the red velvet material back drop. Marked directly in the middle of the medallion the following a capital "R" followed by .800. Signed as "Carmen" in the upper righthand corner of the medallion. Measures 3 1/4" inches in diameter. A good amount of silver was utilized when this medal artwork was manufactured. If I were to guess, I would say at least 3 - 4 ounces were utilized. Hard to determine with the medallion being mounted inside the glass frame. The extreme detail on the craftsmanship is amazing. Nice three-dimensional high relief work. Came out of an upscale estate from the Northshore suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Possibly dates back to the 1940's.
