Description: This vintage Eterna Matic (Eternamatic) wristwatch is a luxurious timepiece with a silver bracelet and a round silver case. The fixed smooth bezel adds to its classic sporty style, while the arrow markers, Arabic numerals, and proprietary indices make it easy to read the metallic dial. The watch features a seconds hand and a 12-hour dial, all powered by a Swiss-made mechanical automatic movement with 17 jewels. This Externamatic Automatic watch is 33mm in size and has a screwback caseback. It was manufactured between 1950-1959 in Switzerland and has a reference number of 3863081. The watch may have some barely noticeable blemishes due to use and age, but is in excellent overall condition. It is ready to be worn for any occasion. The case back is inscribed with the original owners initials and 12/25/1956 which date the piece and add the it’s authentication. The 10k silver bracelet is aftermarket. The indices and hands are highlighted with luminous paint. At the estate sale where this was procured, we learned that the original owner was a watch aficionado. The initials on the back are his. It is possible that his family special ordered this watch or the owner customized it in some way, because some features are rare and there are service notes etched on the back of the cover.
