According to Egyptian myth, Horus lost his left eye in a struggle with Seth. The eye was magically restored by Hathor and this restoration came to symbolize protection against evil, in addition to its other meanings. Original 1970s hand crafted & painted on papyrus paper, (Papyrus is the world’s first paper and has been used as a paper for over 4000 years!) Papyrus is signed on lower left corner and is Stamped “Made in Egypt” on reverse. It has beautiful colors ~ like/dark gold, blue, turquoise, red, and black. It is approx 7” x 9”. All papyrus paintings have "rough" edges, making trimming easier to fit your frames. It’s in excellent condition. Add to a collection or awesome gift for any occasion!
