Description: Vintage DAYS O WORK Chewing Tobacco Metal Embossed Stamp Mold Tin Sheet Vintage DAYS O WORK Chewing Tobacco Metal Embossed Stamp Mold Tin Sheet Click images to enlarge Description Vintage DAYS O WORK Tin Chewing Tobacco Metal Embossed Stamp Mold Sheet This listing features a very attractive vintage DAYS O WORK Tin Chewing Tobacco Stamp Mold from the 1920s. Found recently at a local auction, this embossed tin sheet with 24 images was used to mold the brand name on each piece of chewing tobacco. As part of the production process, tobacco was spread on the negative or underside of the mold, then pressed into all the parts of that mold. The product was then cured, cut to size, wrapped and boxed for sale. This thin tin sheet measures approximately 12" x 12" and weighs 13 ounces. Condition is as pictured...very good with some surface rust/oxidation, light wear and scratches due to age.There is still a waxy coating on the back that was used as a release agent for the tobacco.
