Tomus Prior is in overall very good condition showing some minor and superficial discoloration to the back cover, some toning to the page markers and fraying to the lower ends of the page markers as well as a very occasional soiling spot here or there in the text. Gold gilded outer page fore edges show some minor wear. Tomus Alter is also in very good condition with no gold gilded Chi Rho design to the front cover but only embossed cross. Outer page fore edges of Tome Alter show some minor wear also and the outer edges of the covers have some minor rubs with page markers also showing some minor age wear like Prior. Exteriors are both very clean with Prior having slightly more handling wear to the morocco leather than Alter but still very well intact. Interiors of both volumes are very clean and well intact with, again, a few soils to the inside of Prior but little if any apparent to Alter. Both volumes bindings are tight and well intact and both volumes are complete with all pages present and none coming loose, detached or missing. Both volumes retain their complete strucutral integrity. Tomus Prior totals 1292 pages, followed by a second pagination that runs 397 pages and again is followed by an index. Tomus Alter totals 1138 pages followed by a second pagination that runs 365 pages and again is followed by an index and after tat a 10 page Propia Officia Civitatum Foederatarum Americae Septentrionalis section. Both volumes together measure approximately 6 3/4 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/4 inches and weigh just over 2 pounds.
