Description: Vintage Carriage Clock by August Schatz & Sons - 8-Day Mid-Century Desk Clock This listing is for a beautiful vintage August Schatz & Sons brass carriage clock with a visible movement. Made in West Germany Circa 1970, it is an 8 day clock. The underside door opens and you can wind the clock with the built in folding key on the back. The windows on the clock are made of glass. The white dial is signed "Schatz", "Eight Days" and "Made In Germany". I don't have much experience with assessing these clocks and am selling this item "as is". Measurements: 3 5/16" W x 2 3/16" D x 6" H ~1.1 lb Condition: As is untested condition. It appears tightly wound, which may need some professional repair or it might just need the right touch to get it running. I really have no idea. As far as cosmetics, there is a small scratch on the front face of the glass. Brass appears to be in good condition with some small dings, scratches and patina on close inspection. Key is present. Door latch works properly. Machinery appears to be all present to my un-expert eye. The clock faceplate remains in great condition, with no stains, cracks, or wear to the ink. Normal wear for age.
