Vintage Bronze Sculpture Child Praying on Cushion Pillow after Auguste Moreau

Description: This listing is for the bronze statue featuring a child kneeling on a pillow or cushion and praying that you see in the photos. I purchased it at an estate sale in Oregon where I was not told its history. Some research tells me that it is after a statue made by August Moreau. I believe that I I am guessing that it was made sometime during the last half of the 20th century. I leave it to the buyer to decide how old it is. Including the marble base, it measures close to 8 3/4 inches tall. The diameter of the base measures close to 5 inches. It weighs close to 5 pounds 10.6 ounces. According to Perplexity AI: "Auguste Moreau (1834–1917) was a prominent French sculptor known for his elegant and naturalistic works. Born in Dijon, he was the youngest son of Jean-Baptiste Moreau, a sculptor and painter, and grew up in an artistic environment alongside his brothers, Hippolyte and Mathurin." The condition is much you see it in the photos. There is some green oxidation or Verdigris on the bronze but I think was possibly added when it was made to make it look antique. I leave it to the buyer to decide how true that is. Otherwise it is fine and as shown in the photos. I guarantee this sculpture to be as described and represented by the photos.
