Description: For your consideration this Superb Vintage Danish Modern Bodafors of Sweden Arm Chair. This Unique RARE chair comes in two pieces. The upholstered Chair actually cradles in the Wood Base with no Screws or Attachments. This is a Unique Union. At some point the chair was redone and painted black. It was a bad paint job! I spent hours stripping the chair to the original Birch or Beech Wood. Upon removal I found the remains of the Bodafor's Label which is faintly photographed. I guarantee this an Authentic Rare Bodafors Chair.. Condition. I would consider this chair a REDO however the chair is very usable as is. There is some soiling to the Creme Taupe wool fabric. There is a tear on the backside of the cushion, which is photographed. The Wood base is VERY Structurally Sound, Tight, Strong, Sturdy. Guaranteed. Only mention is there is a stress Crack that does not penetrate the wood. Just Surface. Only noticed once black paint was removed. I literally spent hours removing the Horrible Paint Job. I had a feeling that once I removed the paint I would be able to determine the origin of the chair. The base is ready for a light Sanding and choice of what to do? Stain, Color? Its up to you. Measures 32.5" Tall, 24" Deep, 28" Wide at Widest Point, 29.5" , 16"from floor to top of seat, 22.5" from floor to top of arm and seat area measures 17" x 19". Please message with any questions.
