Vintage Barbie Sears Exclusives #1587 MAD ABOUT PLAID / #1511 FASHION BOUQUET

Description: Vintage Mod Barbie's stunning red, blue and green plaid coat that came with two different Sears Exclusives outfits in the 1970s. This was a variation coat that came in some #1511 Fashion Bouquet sets, and it is also the coat that came with a matching dress, purse and hat in the 1970 MAD ABOUT PLAID ensemble issued by Mattel in collab with Sears. This coat has two green faux buttons. The only thing I'm not sure about is why some of these coats have one button, most have two buttons and some have three faux buttons. I have ended up with numerous of these coats over the years, and despite my research I don't know what this means. These are faux buttons so it's not as if there should be a reason for them to fall off. The picture of the outfit on my Mad About Plaid box shows two red buttons but I've never seen this with red buttons! No flaws noted! Very good, crisp, unfaded condition.
