Description: Zoeller Travel Mini Iron AZN-Automaticus Made in WEST GERMANY most likely in the 1950s to 60s.Green Vinyl CaseComes with Iron, Plug Adapter for use in Germany, Directions, Tube to be used for replacing Red Light with Directions, Green CaseIron measures about 5 1/8 inches in length x 2 7/8 inches width x almost 3 inches heightCloth wrapped electric cord with U.S. plug110-240 VThis travel iron is in very good condition. It has a few scratches on the shiny metal portions, but it quickly heats up and the red light in the handle is bright. From the English Directions: Size: 13x7 cm, weight 700gI am the smallest electric Travel-Flat-Iron with full-automatic heat regulator. I can be operated from any A.C. circuit 110 to 240 Volts. Before starting to iron, turn the control knob until the arow head points at the respective fabric to be ironed. My electricity consumption is most economical as the heat controller cuts off the current when the required temperature is reached and switches on again when the temperature drops. The little control lamp in my handle goes out automatically as soon as the right temperature is reached. If the control knob is turned to a lower temperature the lamp goes on again as soon as the right heat level is reached. Should it ever become necessary to replace the lamp, this can be done easily by using a small bit of rubber tubing. Just push the tube over the glass bulb and turn from right to left. My heating element is made of mica and of a very best quality resistance material. I can be stood up to rest on the back of my handle. My handle is air cooled, and it only warms up to hand temperature even if my soleplate is hot. Of course I am constructed according to safety standards. When travelling just pack me into a little case and then I fit snugly into any lady's handbag. Should it be necessary to open me up this is best done by an electrician. The control knob can be taken off after having turned out the screw of its handle and then all other screws are accessible. The same iron can also be supplied without heat regulator and without pilot lamp, for one voltage only (No: 349). Attention. In case the small pilot lamp should fail to burn when using the iron the first time, it most probably has been loosened during the transport. Please use the small rubber tube to fasten it again as tight as necessary. Examine all photos closely.
