Description: Very cool Avis Rent a Car 5 year service pin. All three stones are sapphire meaning 5 years. Circa 1994. Basically unworn and sitting in a box 30 years. Measures about 7/16”. I am not a gemologist. As employees, we were told these were real sapphire. At ten years, the middle stones gets changed for a diamond. At 15 years, the two outside are diamonds. At 20, all diamonds. Remember at this time, Avis still gave a stainless steel Rolex to all employees at 25 years! I’m pretty sure these are real.
