Description: This listing is for a beautiful vintage Chribska Glassworks ashtray designed by Josef Hospodka. This is a heavy art piece. It is pink, blue, and clear. It can be used as a candy bowl or trinket dish. This Ashtray/Dish is designed with the Sommerso (Italian for "submerged") glassmaking technique of creating two or more layers of contrasting glass without the colors mixing together. It is formed by dipping colored glass into molten glass of a different color before blowing the glass into the required form. This piece of art is in excellent, used condition. There are no chips or cracks. There are some light surface scratches on the underside bottom of the base. (See picture). This piece dates from the late 1950's - 60's.
