Description: The state of Arizona is under a stay-at-home order which is making our shipping difficult. We are extending our shipping limit to 20 days. We hope to ship in less time, and we hope soon to be back to our old policy of ten days. We ask for and hope for your patience. When I played in the U.S. Open in 1978, the sets provided were made of cheap plastic and sported a glossy shine--which bugged the eyes after a while. When you put those pieces in a bag, they chipped continually and when you dumped the bag out you got a cloud of plastic chips. Later, this set was devised. It is hard-impact plastic and is flat, not glossy. A very good set. Alas, these sets are not made any more. If you want one, buy one, because when they are gone, they are gone. We have some sets, not many. Unweighted, king is 3 1/2 inches tall. Very good set for tournament play. This set has a "caja blanca" cigar box for storage. We combine shipping! To combine, place all your purchases in the shopping cart and press "proceed to checkout." Follow us! We found a number of antique sets! We have an ongoing sale of 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st century chess clocks, books, and sets! Watch for our big sales!
