Description: This 1939 collection of short stories from the year 1915 through 1939 includes such authors as Dreiser, Hemingway, Cather, Faulkner, Wolfe and Steinbeck, to name a few. The book is in great shape, although the red cloth cover has faded over time: 868 pages. In addition to the 50 short stories, there is a section in the back with short biographies of all of the authors. Great reading! There are some dates circled in pencil on the content pages, but I can find no other marks. Binding is tight; and there is the occasional stain that I assume is from storage. Printed in 1939.
