Vintage 1970's Sindaco Diver w/Pristine Dial,Warm Patina,EB 8810 Mvmt RUNS SLOW

Description: ***********The EB 8810 manual wind movement loses about 6 minutes by the end of its approximate 30 hour power reserve period. Although the date wheel tends to consistently roll over occasionally it's squirrelly and gets stuck when using the semi-quickset function. Manually rolling over a new date tends to correct this. Considering that the movement shows no clear signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended.***********This vintage 1970's Sindaco, which came from the estate of its original owner, has a pristine black sunburst "T SWISS MADE T" dial and the original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully. The plastic bezel, which shows wear and number fading, rotates with an appropriate amount of tension. The chrome-plated case shows minor wear with visibly insignificant signs of brassing. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "STEEL BACK BASE METAL BEZEL SWISS MADE WATERRESISTANT" with "6131" stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped "SINDACO LTD." The crystal shows scratching and scuffing along the outer edge from 1 o'clock to a bit past 2 o'clock. The 1 jewel unadjusted Swiss "SINDACO LTD" stamped EB 8810 manual wind movement with semi-quickset date function runs strong, albeit slow, and the red date wheel tends to roll over without issue. The semi-quickset date function works by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. Occasionally the date wheel doesn't want to roll over when using the semi-quickset function. When this happens manually rolling over a new date tends to correct this issue. After recently winding the non-screwdown crown 23 full revolutions the movement lost about 6 minutes by the end of its approximate 30 hour power reserve period. Considering that the movement shows no clear signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39.5 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 10.5 mm. A complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given. And please study the 15 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch. Expedited and insured shipping will be provided. Thanks for looking!***********The EB 8810 manual wind movement loses about 6 minutes by the end of its approximate 30 hour power reserve period.
