Description: (PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTOR BEFORE BIDDING) This auction is for a vintage 1970, never displayed, Chinese propaganda poster entitled “Heighten our vigilance, defend the motherland! Be ready at all times to destroy the enemy intruders” by artist Guan Qiming.“The painting was displayed at the Exhibition of Self-defenses and Counter-attack Battles at Zhenbao (Damansky Island) in Beijing in 1969. After seeing the painting, Jiang Qing suggested that the color of the sky be changes from pink to blue. This is the revised version.” IMPORTANT: The paper in which it is printed on is very thin. It was never meant to last long or be archival. There are areas on the edges that are creased, torn or dented because of the nature of the delicate paper. The item will come carefully padded and securely rolled in a rigid tube. (See photos for details) I am the original owner. It has been in climate controlled flat storage since acquired.
