Description: Vintage 1953 Roseville Pottery Pine Cone Brown 497 Candy Trinket Dish 7” MCM Art. Excellent condition. No cracks, chips, crazing, or repairs. Please see photos for details and measurements. The original release of Pine Cone by Roseville was in the 1930's. Subsequently, in 1953 Roseville reissued many of the original pieces and added at least 13 new pieces to the line, which were numbered in the 400 range. Number 497, specifically brown, is such a piece. It is a small candy dish or possibly used as a trinket dish. The piece bears molded/raised marks on the base, not the standard die impressed marks. There was a relatively short run on these pieces as the factory sold in 1954. Approximate measurements: 7.25” Wide 6“ Deep 1.5” Height
