VINTAGE 1950's BERLIN GERMANY MURATTI ARISTON LUXE 50 CIGARETTE TOBACCO TIN BOX

Description: Acquired by a family member while living in Germany from a private German collector sometime in the late 1950's, and now offered for your own personal collection, a vintage Muratti Ariston Luxe Tobacco Cigarette Tin Box. Still has original 60 year old onion skin paper glued inside the box. Manufacturer: CIGARETTENFABRIK MURATTI A.G. BERLIN company. ARISTON LUXE and 50 CIGARETTEN 50 spelled out on all 4 sides of the box, and ARISTON LUXE on the top of the lid under a golden crown and circled logo. Designed to hold 50 CIGARETTEN. Bright red and black colored box, with gold trim and lettering. Measures 6" long x 4 3/4" wide x 3/4" tall. An interesting side note; while researching the box, it was found that it may have been a perfect addition used by the German Wehrmacht soldier in his rucksack, or to display on the table with mess kits or canteens in a shelter or pill-box. It is in very good condition with vibrant coloring, intact lid, and shows normal wear for it's age. Flaws noted: top of lid has some light scratches, paint chips / both sides of the lid have minor dents. It would make a great gift, addition to any vintage tobacco tin box collection, or simply put it to good use storing something special of your own.
