Description: Vintage 1940s Signed Coro "Peacock" Enamel and Rhinestone Bird Figural Fur Clip Strikingly huge. Enchantingly beautiful. Adorned with lovely purple, brown, black, and white enameling and sparkling multicolor and clear rhinestones. Gold-tone finish. Mark: Signed Coro in script Age: Circa 1940s, 1942 Patent Reference: Design Patent 131,972 was issued on April 7, 1942 and signed by Adolph Katz. Book Reference: Featured in Brunialti's book "American Costume Jewelry A-M" on page 116. Condition: Enameling is beautiful and in very good condition with only some tiny nicks visible on close inspection. Rhinestones are present, bright, and sparkling but some ofthe clear stones are showing some slight discoloration. Finish is in overall very good condition but there is some light wear/loss visible on close inspection, please see photos. Clip is in perfect working order.
