Description: Vintage 1940's Shell Oil Gasoline Pop-Up Obscene Advertising Mechanical Card This is a funny old Shell gas and oil advertising card that opens, the policeman's head pops up along with his other part. I have only seen one of these cards and that one did not have the obscene part. Not sure if someone altered the card or it was made this way. I don't see anyway someone could have altered the card and do not see evidence that it was altered. It looks in original condition. But its hard to believe a card would have been made like this. In any event this is a rare card to find. The policeman's head will pop straight up and all the way around flat to the other side of the card. The color is good and not faded. The backside of the card has the Shell advertising information. The card is in good condition with no rips. It does have smudges from age and handling. See photos for more on the condition. The card will come in a clear archival envelope. Card measures: 6" x 4"
