Description: A rare & special vintage 1930's dress! Gorgeous color changing faux silk fabric, in lavender purple to pink. It is made of a lightweight acetate celanese fabric, which was marketed as artificial silk as early as 1919. Stunning jewel tones that catch the light and change with movement ~ a really fun piece! Heavily gathered wrap front bodice with stylized accents at top front of shoulders and a pretty neckline. The sleeves are shorter length with tall puffed shoulders. Accented waist with belt loops (original belt is missing, the belt in photos is not included) that gives way to a midi-length flared skirt. Please note that there are NO side zipper or snaps on the dress, it is an over the head fit so you will need to allow for some wiggle room to get in and out of this piece. Dress is pictured on a modern US size small dress form, clipped at waist. Best fits a size medium, please see all measurements listed below. Dry cleaned and ready to wear; it held up beautifully to a cleaning! It is overall in excellent condition for age with no major issues to note and fabric is sturdy and strong. There is some wear under one arm as pictured that is not visible when wearing and one pencil tip sized hole near side of waist. One very faint smudge right below waist at middle back of dress that is covered when wearing a belt. Presents as absolutely spectacular! ✶ S I Z E ✶tag size - vintage US women's 18fits like - modern US women's medium / approximate size 10bust - 36/38waist - up to 31" maxhip - up to snug 44"sleeve - 9"shoulder - 15.5" seam to seamarm opening - 9" measured flatbodice length - 15.5" from middle top of shoulder to waisttotal length - 41"
