Description: Here is this very beautiful late 20th century vintage solid 14 K yellow gold ladies ring with a 5.5 mm x 4.7 mm oval faceted natural blue sapphire, about .70 ct it is a beautiful natural gemstone with modest inclusions seen under magnification it is without scratches or abrasions in a very sturdy prong setting surrounded by 8 full cut round brilliant diamonds about 0.040 ct each they are F - G color & VS1 - SI1 clarity and each in a sturdy 4 prong setting in a halo around the sapphire giving the ring a total carat weight just over 1.0 cts sapphire and diamonds combined. The ring weighs 3.8 grams and it's about a size 9.75 that can easily be sized by a jeweler. The top of the ring is 10.4 mm north to south and it tapers to a sturdy band that is starting to get a little thin at the bottom but still very strong and it is marked on the inside " 14K HOL " .
