Description: Our client's lovely lyre form clock in the Louis XVI style features a movement by Vincenti et Cie of Paris, with the maker's familiar mark celebrating their gold medal of 1855 which reads "Medaille D'argent Vincenti & Cie 1855". It is crafted from white marble and gilt bronze mounts including beading, garlands and sunburst motif at top, and distinguished from others of the same design by its faceted faux diamonds decorating the clock face and shoulders of the candelabra. Candelabra feature garland motifs with satyr masks and hoof feet. Clock measures 23.5 by 11 by 8 in and the candelabra 18 in tall and 8 in across. With original key. Pendulum missing. A few small areas of verdigris. Scattered wax residue and slight bends to the candle arms, and one bobeche with considerable rubbing wear to the gilt finish, possibly a replacement. With scratches and scuffs, consistent with age. Our client has this set for sale in their New York gallery. Prior to using Buy It Now, please contact us so we may confirm availability. Thank you.
