Description: In 1945 Varney issued a 1/240 scale Fleet Submarine molded in Molex [ asbestos tailings, coal tar pitch, and limestone--its HEAVY!!]. I have 2 listed if you want to see them. O-Lin got the molds and converted the kit to an injection molded polystyrene kit in 1949. O-Lin became Lindberg around 1952 and this Fleet Sub has been reissued many times by Lindberg--in fact these are probably the oldest injection molds still in use!! The kit is complete--most parts are still on the sprues. The instructions are a scaled down version of the Varney instructions [see the reverse]. If you are a collector and do not have this kit.....
