This piece was designed and created by skilled artisans at La Murrina, known for its high-end lighting, using classical glass blowing techniques. Its transitional look lends itself to many decorating styles. Our family purchased it in 1995 where it has been the centerpiece of our dining room for almost 30 years. It is in the same condition as when it was purchased. It measures 21 inches in diameter, making it the perfect size for a table up to 44 inches wide. At 29 inches high, it could also be used to enhance a bedroom by adding illumination, a sense of height and a lot of style. There are 8 gold painted arms , each ending in a textured glass shade (see close up picture) holding a 40 watt bulb. There are also two 25 watt bulbs in the large bottom bowl. At night, the shades reflect the color of the bulb. The frame is metal hand painted in a gold finish (see close up picture). Can be used with a dimmer switch.
