Description: This is a Vaio that was bought new from the Vaio store in early 2009. It came with Windows Vista installed; one of the most “undesirable” operating systems Windows released. Exterior shows some wear and light scratches. Screen is flawless. Keyboard doesn’t have excess mileage on it. It ran well like this for many years and was well cared for in my possession. Until recently, I have become more a kin to an I.T. Enthusiast and decided I wanted to install a ‘flavor’ of Windows XP; which would be considered a retro-active installation of a operating system that did not and was not officially released to run with Windows XP. I managed to freshly install Windows XP ‘Delta Edition’ with an upgraded SSD from Team Group T-Force hard drive. ***Has Windows Office XP Professional installed and working; Keyboard test on Microsoft Word PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook Today, Magic ISO Maker…*** I also installed proper drivers for the DVD/CD burner drive And many other drivers that were pieced together to get this machine working properly including sound card drivers. **The only drivers it lacks are the drivers that run the SD card Reader And MagicStick Pro Duo ports** which I believe Windows XP did not support until Service Pack2/3 which this Vaio is not loaded with. And I do not intend on sourcing the proper drivers or moving to a Windows XP 3rd addition to utilize these ports because I do not own any magicstick/SD memory cards. I do not suggest buying this bundle for use on the internet but may serve some purposeful productivity task because for Windows Office. Everything else runs as expected. And I occasionally run this computer to play a small collection of vintage PC games listed and listen to music CDs because of the decent sound quality it provides for laptop/speakers of its age; it sounds better than my x1 carbon 6th/7th gen. Watched all of “Lain-Serial Experiments” anime that is downloaded **comes with OS era correct SONICstage for ripping and burning CDs** used to rip CDs and Load them on to my Sony MINI-disc player (not included)** ** Does not include battery, battery can be found on eBay/Amazon** **includes charger adapter** The included game list is as followed: ~Sims 2 for Windows XP **all other games are Windows 95 specific CDroms but are able to be installed and played: ~Warcraft orcs and humans (picture of game running) ~Sim City 2000 which includes all user manual ~Doom ~Diablo ~StarCraft ~Lords of the Realm 2 I do not expect many to consider buying this laptop and the included games for this price (unless you got money like that) but only those who understand that this bundle in its whole entirety know that they are buying a token of a reminiscent and recent past. For nostalgic purposes only/or for parts. Or some standalone productivity tasks involving Microsoft Office of the era.
