Description: This auction is for a Rare USS HELENA SSN-725 "HELL FISH" SUBMARINE DOLPHINS - BRASS - REGULATION SIZE (2.75"). This badge was designed by the crew of the submarine. It has a submarine with a head on view. Fierce looking dolphins are resting on each side (Port & Starboard) of this 688 Class Submarine. It has the same dimensions of an official U.S. Navy Submarine Insignia. This is an unofficial version of the submarine insignia. There is a Hallmark or Makers Marks on the back of the badge, "VANGUARD" and "SSN-725", the hull number of the Helena. This badge also has "BRASS" engraved on the back. The badge was made by the same company that makes submarine insignia for the U.S. Navy. It has two clutch post pins on the back for attachments. It was made for crew member's or someone that was stationed on the USS HELENA SSN-725. I will be on travel form July 25th to August 14th. I will not be able to ship items won until August 15th.
