Description: Issued by the U.S. Postal Service on July 30, 2014, this mint pane of 12 self-adhesive stamps commemorates the Civil War during 1864. This issue is the fourth in a five-year series commemorating the 150th anniversary (sesquicentennial) of the war . The pane selvage includes text describing 1864 Civil War events; the two stamps (six copies each) pay tribute to the Battle of Petersburg and the Battle of Mobile Bay.
