This is the Bad Boy Rocketry, 3 inch Yellow Jacket kit. This kit has been built and flown by two expert builders and has flown successfully both times. The flight in the attached flight video was 1500' on an H130. The original Yellow Jacket was a popular Estes Sport Rocket and has remained in demand long after it was discontinued. This kit brings this popular rocket back in mega style! What you get in the box are two 3-inch body tubes, a 3-inch coupler, a plastic nose cone, 38mm motor tube, laser-cut plywood centering rings and fins, vinyl decals from CF Fluid art, and 10 feet of 1000lb Kevlar-brand shock cord. This kit also includes a 3D printed, tube slotting guide from Sky Dancer Rocketry. This guide slips over the tube and allows you to cut perfect fin slots every time. (Sky Dancer also makes an AV Bay that fits this rocket for conversion to dual deploy - check them out!) This is an advanced rocket kit requiring you to cut your own fin slots and is meant to be flown on H and above motors. I do not recommend this as your first rocket! You must have at least a Level One certification to purchase and fly the motors for this rocket. This rocket kit does not include a parachute - if you have built enough of them to be ready to tackle this one you probably have ten of them. This kit does not include motor retention or rail buttons so that you can choose your favorite method, or the ones approved by your club.
