Description: Unusual Rare Vintage 1940s Portuguese 18K Gold, Blue Enamel & Diamond Cufflinks These unusual and stylish cufflinks were masterfully crafted in the 1950s by an unidentified designer in Portugal and feature an incredibly intricate gold design on a deep blue enamel background adorned with a single diamond. The design is reminiscent of a forest on a clear cold winter night with a full moon...just beautiful. Measurements: Approx. 13/16" wide x 5/8" high. Total weight: 14.6 grams of solid 19.2K yellow gold. Both pieces carry Portuguese hallmarks for "800" gold which is a higher standard than 18K (19.2K to be precise). These hallmarks - in the shape of a cat with its tongue out - were used in Portugal between 1938 and 1984. The pieces also carry unidentified designer marks. Unique pieces that look particularly stunning on a white shirt and make for a great gift.
