I found no makers marks on it anywhere but appears to be hand forged. At one time or another the mouth may have been changed as it is not nearly as well made as the other parts of the bit. There is some surface rustThis could be over 100 years oldThe mouth is 5 5/8" wideThe Shanks are 3.5" longThe port is 1 7/8" tall If you wanted to get this old bit redone you would really have something special and just as it is it is rather special as well...real piece of equine history.SDC-031-t348
