Description: Thank you for looking at our listing. As you can imagine, as a Charity we receive a vast number of donated books and media, so to save valuable volunteer processing time we are listing some of them using stock photos and information. We have put in place some simple guidelines to ensure that any item you buy from this type of listing arrives in the condition you expect. If you are not happy with the quality of your item for any reason, we offer a 100% money back guarantee for 30 days after purchase. What can you expect from the stated condition? CDs/DVDs All of our CDs, DVDs and Blu-Rays have been tested to ensure they're in full working order. In general, they'll be in excellent condition with few signs of use; in the case of especially desirable titles we may sell items that have some marks on the disc, but we will make this clear in the description. Books New Without imperfections and likely to be sealed in shrinkwrap, if supplied as such by the publisher. It has never been read; as a result the spine is uncracked and there are no marks, though there may be very minor shelfwear to the edges of the dustcover/soft cover - all in all, it will be in the same condition you would expect to find with a brand new book in a bricks-and-mortar bookshop. Like New Almost as good as New, but with slightly more pronounced shelfwear and perhaps very minor handling damage; if there are any marks on the cover they'll be mere specks and will be outlined in the description, and there will be no marks on the pages. The binding will be secure with no pages loose or missing, and there will be no rips. Overall, it will be in the same condition you'd expect for a new book sold at a discount in a bricks-and-mortar bookshop. Very Good There may be more obvious marks to the cover or shelfwear; if there are marks to the pages they will be limited to the flyleaves and title page, if there are any on the inner pages they'll be extremely minor. The book may have been read and there could be light creasing to the spine and perhaps a small number of folded page corners, but there will be no serious damage. The binding will be secure and there will be no loose or missing pages; there may some extremely minor wear and tear to page edges. Good As above, with more pronounced defects and some marks on pages - however, whilst the binding may be a little less tight due to several re-readings, there will be no loose pages. Fair May have any or several of the defects listed above, but is still in one piece - in other words, it's worthy of consideration if it's a title for which you've been searching, but it'll be tatty. Poor The book is complete but has been read many times, so that the binding has loosened significantly and some pages may be loose. There may be annotations in the margins but all text will be readable. In the case of vintage and antique books, there may be some age-related yellowing and foxing. We use this grade only for very rare and collectable books, and we will be happy to provide photographs to give a better indication of the condition. Very Poor The book has significant defects and wear, which may include missing pages or sections, heavy marking or staining, missing boards, water damage and bowing and other faults. We use this grade only for exceptionally rare and collectable antique books, and we will be happy to provide photographs to give a better indication of the condition. Any additional relevant details will be listed in the condition description.
