Description: Please feel free to make an offer. A Very Rare pair of Hardy Bros Ltd Fly Fishing Antique Hobnail Boots. I suspect they're probably from around the 1920's but please do your own research as in over 45 years I've never seen a pair of these. It would be great if they could be purchased by a museum to let people appreciate them. There's a small brass plaque on the underside of each shoe which is engraved. "Made by Hardy Bros Ltd England". It's hard to see properly from the images however I wanted to leave them as original as possible with their original patina. In expected used condition for an item of this age & nature. They're made from leather & canvas. The leather's a little stiff. A few of the brass eyelets have become detached. I don't suppose it's something you'd wear anymore but I suppose you could wear them in film / TV etc. They'd require new longer leather laces but I prefer to keep them as original as possible. I'm a size UK 8 & they fit me fine. I don't know how comfy they'd be. They're more of a collectors item now & a conversation piece for display. There's expected marks & discolour but it's amazing that they've actually survived. The leather's inrelatively good condition for its age. I believe there's a special cream that you keep applying to soften it up again over time. A Great & Unique piece for the Hardy & Fishing enthusiast / collector.
