After BITERS disbanded in 2018, he debuted in 2020 under the solo name Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts with the single 'What Kinda Love.' However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all planned activities, including opening for Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard’s stadium tour, were canceled, and he was dropped from his label. In 2022, he released this debut album as the first artist on the new label MRG, co-founded by Marty Frederiksen (producer and songwriter for Aerosmith, Buckcherry, and The Struts) and Tuk's manager.
