Description: Several years ago a friend died and left us his art collection. This piece was in a flat file and was never stretched nor framed. As our friend was a painter, it's possible that he, himself, painted it. But we just don't know. We ourselves are getting old and hope this will be purchased by someone who will appreciate it. We are guessing (don't truly know) that it was painted in the 90's in the Impressionist style. It's subject is the Louvre as viewed from the Tuileries. It is neither signed nor dated. It is unframed and has not been stretched. It will be sent rolled. The painted area measures 12 3/4" +/- tall by 10" +/- wide. The canvas measures 16 1/2" tall by 14" wide. There is plenty of left over canvas to have it stretched for framing.. If stretched on 10x12 bars, it will fit a readymade frame. Custom framing will allow the full image to show. It's an original piece on canvas. I'm assuming oil. It is being sold as is. But please feel free to ask questions. I can only imagine this would look quite good in a traditional wood frame. But that is up to you.
