Description: Trident Maple Bonsai in a Chinese Container This Trident Maple (Acer Buergerianum) is in a glazed container from China. It is in our bonsai soil mix (Red Lava, Black Lava, Hyuga Pumice, and Akadama). The tree pictured is the tree you will receive but will change in appearance depending on the season of your purchase. At the time of the photos (Spring 2024) the tree was approximately 16 inches tall from the top of the tree to the top of the soil. The pot is ten inches wide. The trunk of the tree is two and a half inches thick. Trident Maples like a sunny spot when weather is nice, will do better with some shade for protection during the hottest days of the summer months. They like a lot of water, especially when they are in their growing season but do not like to be soggy. We make sure that they have perfect drainage with our soil.
