There are specialist auction houses that would welcome my collection, but they charge over 20% to me to sell an item and they take around the same percentage off you the buyer!So if I sell something through them for £100, they would give me less than £80 which would probably take over a month before it was in my account! They would then sell it to you at over £120 + the delivery and handling cost.So they would make over £40, great business for them! Now I'm not greedy, but I think that's a ridiculous amount of money to them for doing very little.So I think it's in both my interest as the seller and your interest as the buyer to make the transaction through eBay.You will buy cheaper than auction and I'll not be lining the pockets of the auctioneers.
