Description: This galvanized trailer hub fits most 2,000 lb trailer axles with straight spindles that fit 1 1/16" x 1 1/16" or 1" x 1" bearing combinations. This listing is for the galvanized hub ONLY if you need new bearings and seals as well you can add on the bearing kit in the "Complete Your Project" section above or purchase them directly here. The hot-dipped galvanized coating on this hub makes it a great choice for boat trailers or jet ski trailers that are used in saltwater or freshwater environments, but it can be used on utility trailers and other land trailers as well. These are the same hubs we sell in our full Galvanized 4 Lug 2,000 lb Hub Kits with Bearings. This Hub can fit either the 1 1/16" Inner Diameter Bearing, Bearing # 44649, or the 1" Inner Diameter Bearing, Bearing # 44643. These Bearings are both typically used in Pairs, on Straight Spindles. Their Outer Diameter's are the same, so they both fit this size Hub, but you would want to be sure what size your Trailer Spindle needs before purchasing. This hub is commonly seen on trailer wheels that are 13 to 14 inches, and the 4 lug on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern is the standard size for most trailer wheels. These hubs accommodate the standard 1.98 size dust caps that you would see on 4 lug 2000-3500 lb hubs. If you have an EZ lube or Accu-lube greasable zerk fitting on your spindle you would want to consider using a 1.98 Accu-Lube Dust Cap, otherwise, you would likely want to use a Standard 1.98 Trailer Dust Cap or 1.980 Stainless Steel Bearing Buddy for 4 Bolt and 5 Bolt Trailer Hubs. If you are having difficulties getting your dust caps to seat properly, you will also want to consider using one of our 1.98 Dust Cap Installation Tools, as they can make the installation process much easier and straightforward.
