Description: I have been traveling the Himalayan areas like Dharamshala for the last few years, and have brought back only a few treasures to pass on. Each of the items I have are either antique or extremely high quality. I have done my best to find the best. Each mala has been blessed and used at the Dalai Lama temple in McLeod Ganj. May these items find new homes and bring blessings to their new caretakers. Many of these beads are over 1,000 years old, so we are all links in that chain. A pair of Tibetan thogchags or Thokcha. These are very old ones, pre 20th century for sure. I saw thousands of brass replicas in the markets on Temple Road. These are the real thing and were sourced through Norbu at Zambala Arts. The larger one has a small crack on one side, very old. The smaller one was likely on a uniform or other ceremonial clothing. Great patina and feel with both pieces.
