Trade paperback about 8 by 11.75 inches, 20.5 by 21.5 cm.,60 pages which include 48 page size photographic prints, and 12 pages of explanation of the plates and some introductory pages. The plates in this catalog were later used, with the addition of several more, in the hardcover book with the same title. This book is in Japanese and, it is in used condition. It shows wear at the edges of the spine and, a bend on the front cover near the top of the spine. All three of these catalogs feature outstanding photographs of important shells from the top shell collections in Japan that were assembled in the latter part of the Twentieth Century. All three books use the standard scientific names for the shells, as well as the vernacular names used in Japan.
