Description: Three Graces Antique Carved Shell Cameo Pendant 800 Silver Set With Marcasites A stunning vintage hand carved shell cameo pendant set in an elegant 800 silver setting inset with Marcasites. The cameo depicts the 3 Graces, the daughters of Zeus, each of whom is described as being able to bestow a particular gift on humanity, the gifts being mirth, elegance and youth and beauty. The silver frame is set with marcasites, 3 at the top and bottom and 2 to each of the sides. In excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The pendant measures approx. 3.3cms x 2.7cms. The drop from the top of the bail is approx. 4cms. Stamped 800 to the rear indicating European silver, possibly Italian. Comes on a silver plated chain 44cms long Will come in a box for gifting.
