Description: Vintage Silver Server Click image to enlarge Description This serving spatula is Norwegian and made from 830 grade silver (83% purity). It is made in the Valdres pattern with scrolled foliage topped with a flower to the terminal. I think it would be used for serving hors d’oeuvres or small pastries. It has the Norwegian silver assay mark ‘830s’ which denotes the grade of silver used and the maker’s mark of Thorvald Marthinsen. This company is still in production today and still produces this cutlery pattern although not this specific piece. I would estimate it is around 30 years old. This piece is in lovely condition with no damage and the decorative detail is nice and crisp. Please be aware that this is a vintage piece so there will be some fine surface abrasions caused through handling. To ensure items are safe in transit, I package them very well and, unfortunately, this does increase mailing costs somewhat. All packages must be signed for upon receipt. Failure to do so or collect a package will result in it being returned to me and the buyer will be responsible for the cost of re-sending the item.
