Highly influential and important British Alternative Indie rock group (active between 1982-87) especially noted for Morrisseys unusual lyrics and Johnny Marrs complex guitar style. They released four studio LPs ; The Smiths (1984 UK No2) / Meat Is Murder (1985 UK No1) / The Queen is Dead (1986 UK No2) and Strangeways Here We Come (1987 UK No2). Along with their best known Top 10 singles ; This Charming Man / Heaven Knows Im Miserable Now and Sheila Take A Bow. Since their 1987 split Morrissey has enjoyed a sparodic but successful solo career however there have sadly remained constant acrimonius disputes between the band members in the courts over past rights and royalties. Despite being offered huge sums of money to reform on various occasions over the years both Morrissey and Marr have repeatedly said in interviews that this will never happen.............. DESCRIPTION A good pair of original 1990s index cards clearly signed in black sharpie pens by both Morrissey and Johnny Marr PLUS a bookplate signed in black marker by Mike Joyce Andy Rourke is missing from this set SIZE15x10cm Index cards. Bookplate CONDITIONGood CERTIFICATION & PROVENANCE From the extraordinary and vast lifetime autograph infantry of Clive Bullimore collected by him in / around the London area from the 1950s well into the 2000s. Many are dedicated to him / his partner & include detailed biography and collector place / date notations on the reverse of the index cards. Includes a typed letter detailing the general history of his collecting exploits and a supporting link to a YouTube Video. Date notations on these autographs is (Morrissey-Whitehall Theatre July 24th 1997) / (Johnny Marr-Royal Albert Hall April 10th 1999).
