IN THIS CASE THE ARTIST MADE HIS VERSION OF "THE PIETY". THE MEDAL IS SIGNED BY THE MASTER SCULPTOR CÉSAR SFORZA AND IS OF GREAT ARTISTIC QUALITY. César Sforza was born in 1894. He was a prominent professor in the Sculpture Department at the National University of La Plata between 1931 and 1949 and founder of the magazine "Imagen", one of the most prestigious of its time. In 1920 he won the first National Prize for Fine Arts in Argentina and in 1937, the prize of honor-acquisition at the International Exhibition in Paris. He is the author, among many works, of the statue of engineer Luis Huergo, located in the neighborhood of La Boca; the bust of Dardo Rocha, in La Plata and some of the figures of the Paseo del Calvario, in Tandil. In addition to the evocative monuments, the artist was awarded on numerous occasions for his portraits in stone, bronze and wood carvings. He died in Buenos Aires, on September 20, 1983.65MM.
