In this colorful arrangement, painted by Ram Narayan in 1880, the throned thakur is surrounded by a splendid array of courtiers, musicians, gym- nasts, stallions, duck ponds, English gaslights, and even a "Ferris wheel." The painting is from the collection of Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan.
